Want to present at our conference?

Contributed talks and poster submissions for the RSS 2022 Annual Conference in Aberdeen are now open.

The RSS conference programme is made up of ‘invited’ sessions and ‘contributed’ presentations. The programme of invited topic sessions have now been confirmed and we have just opened submissions for contributed presentations.

Contributed presentations can either take the form of a 20-minute talk with time for questions, a ‘rapid fire’ five-minute talk or a poster. Rapid fire talks are aimed at early career researchers looking to gain experience of presenting their work. Posters are displayed in the conference breakout area throughout the conference, with an evening drinks reception where poster authors can talk to attendees about their work.

Presenters at last year’s conference were positive about their experience, with one describing it as offering ‘the most prestigious means of disseminating our research findings’, with another noting that the environment was ‘conducive to establishing contacts with researchers from other parts of the world’.

Anyone can submit an abstract for a contributed presentation, but you must read our guidelines for submissions first; available on our Submit a talk or poster page, which also lists the criteria and deadline for each type of submission (the first of which is 5 April 2022).
