The inaugural London Data Week takes place in July and The Royal Statistical Society plans to mark the occasion with a one-day special event dedicated to our Statisticians for Society volunteers, hosted by Rob Mastrodomenico, chair of Statisticians for Society (S4S). 

The aim of this event is to bring together representatives of London charities to meet with S4S volunteers, to learn about how statistics and statistical analysis can support the delivery of charitable objectives, to discuss their strategic aims and challenges, and to identify and scope projects for consideration by the S4S committee, at no cost.

There will be short presentations from volunteers about their completed projects along with opportunities for questions, and project workshops, allowing volunteers to work with charities to identify and develop project ideas. 

 

Who should attend? 

Any UK-registered third sector organisation (charity, social enterprise, community interest company etc.) with an annual turnover of no more than £1 million.
