With the advent of AI, data quality has never been more relevant to statisticians and organisations all over the world. While most organisations recognise data quality as a serious problem, rarely do they go beyond short-term “data cleaning” to find and address the root causes of poor quality data. This provides an enormous opportunity for practitioners and research statisticians alike to demonstrate how to improve data quality at the source.
