As part of London Data Week 2024, Pro Bono Economics, Statisticians for Society and Pro Bono OR are collaborating to explore in this session how our pro bono services can empower third sector organisations by maximising their data and helping them to demonstrate their impact to funders, beneficiaries and other stakeholders. Speakers

Emma Lawford

Volunteer Opportunities Manager·Statisticians for Society

At the Royal Statistical Society, Emma leads and manages the programme 'Statisticians for Society'. The programme matches professional statisticians with charitable organisations to enable them to actively make use of their own data and insights.

Jane Parkin

Consultant Analyst·Pro Bono OR

Jane is a Fellow of the Operational Research Society (ORS) and the Royal Statistical Society (RSS); a recent Board member of the ORS and a current member of the Pro Bono OR committee which provides free analytical consultancy to third sector organisations.  She has worked as a UK Government Analyst using analytical methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Government policy and operations and now works as an independent analytical consultant undertaking projects for the public, private and third sectors.

Nadine Cameron

Project Manager·Pro Bono Economics

At Pro Bono Economics, Nadine is the coordinator for the Data First Aid volunteer matching service and main point of contact for related enquiries.

Karol Rodriguez Cabrera

Economist·Pro Bono Economics

Karol 's background includes engaging in research collaboration projects at institutions such as the Institute of Development Studies in the UK and the United Nations University in the Netherlands. She holds a bachelor's and master’s degree in economics and is reading a PhD in Economics of Development. Within the PBE team, Karol supports organisations by working on economic evaluations and research to help them demonstrate their impact.
