The RSS Manchester local group will host an online seminar with Clare Griffiths (UK Health Security Agency) who will speak about her work developing the COVID-19 dashboard.

Abstract
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK Dashboard was the official UK government website for COVID-19 data, providing a single source of essential data and statistics during the pandemic. It was rapidly developed in 2020 in response to the evolving pandemic. Usage reached up to 1 million unique users and 70 million hits per day. Here, I will present 3 key examples of challenges and lessons learned, which may be particularly valuable for future dashboard development.

Clare Griffiths is Head of the UK COVID-19 dashboard at the UK Health Security Agency. She is a statistician with a background in mortality statistics. Clare was Head of Profession for statistics in Public Health England, managing a range of projects including the Public Health Outcomes Framework. She has a MSc in Medical Demography from LSHTM.
