Join us for our two-part webinar for RSS members who want to learn more about becoming a trustee:

  • Session 1: Wednesday 12 October at 1pm

  • Session 2: Tuesday 18 October at 1pm

Trustees are volunteers who lead a charity and make sure it achieves what it was set up to do. They use their skills and experience to support their charities, helping them achieve their aims. They can be at any level of seniority in their day job, age, professional background and skill set. With an estimated 100,000 trustee vacancies in the UK, we would like to empower RSS members who want to serve on boards and encourage those who are looking for new ways to volunteer to consider this volunteering route.

In the second session we will explore what it means to be an effective trustee:

  • Some of the principal challenges of trusteeship

  • The use of data within a charity board, and why boards need RSS members

  • Panel discussion and Q&A. You will hear from RSS members about their experiences of being on charity boards

This session is open to all RSS members at any stage in their career, whether early career or retired, and all professional backgrounds and skillsets.

After registering, why not book your place on the first session on Wednesday 12 October where we will explore what it means to be a trustee and how you can get involved.

This event will be hosted live on Zoom. Joining instructions will be sent to those registered nearer the time.
