In November 2020 I was privileged to be asked to join the Cabinet
Office's Public Data Advisory group, as one of two RSS nominees. The
task was to give feedback on the slides shown at the weekly COVID-19
Press conferences, given by the PM, Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallance.
The talk will show some of the graphs we were asked to comment on and
reveal some of our comments. The audience will also be invited to
comment. A few modest improvements in the graphs following our comments
will be shown.
Note: this event will also coincide with the
2021 Annual General Meeting of the Sheffield local group, which will take 10 minutes at the start of the seminar. Please do join us for both events, all are welcome!
