Take part in GSS roundtables on data regarding gender identity and sex

The Government Statistical Service (GSS) has asked us to share with our members a call for academics to take part in a series of roundtables regarding the collection, use or analysis of data on gender identity, sex and related concepts.

The roundtables will take place during the week commencing 2 November, and are aimed at better understanding:
  • which concepts researchers need data on
  • how and why these data are used
  • which population groups data are needed for
  • gaps and challenges in existing data
  • future data requirements
Insights from the discussions will help inform the development of harmonised statistical standards that meet a range of user needs.

Places are limited, and participants will be selected to ensure a broad range of perspectives, data needs and representation from across the UK. The GSS are seeking academics for this series of roundtables and will contact us regarding roundtables for different sectors in the near future.

To express an interest in taking part, please complete this questionnaire by close of play on 19 October.

The GSS team will contact selected participants directly.
