Following the death of Katherine Wallman at the age of 80 on 17 January, the co-editors of CHANCE magazine are asking those that knew her to contribute personal and professional memories for inclusion in a memorial article.
Katherine served as the Chief Statistician of the US from 1992 until her retirement in 2017 and was passionate about international cooperation and implementing best practices in data-sharing across nations.
To be published in April, the article aims to go beyond a biography of achievements, instead making space for personal memories, impressions and photographs.
If you have memories to share, send one to two paragraphs and any pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org
