RSS West Midlands local group seeks new committee members

The West Midlands local group of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is looking for new members to serve on its committee. As a committee member, you will get to contribute new ideas for local activities and help plan and deliver annual programme of events.
The local group holds four or five events a year to actively engage the local statistical community. Its next event on 9 December 2021 at 5pm will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the West Midlands local group, with Tim Davis giving a talk on The study of variability in engineering design.
We are particularly seeking expressions of interest from female professionals, those working in industry and/or based outside the City of Coventry in other boroughs in the West Midlands. The position of treasurer is currently vacant and we are also keen to have volunteers who may be interested in such additional roles on the committee.

To express interest or discuss joining the committee, please contact Kristian Romano by Monday 29 November 2021 with a paragraph (up to 200 words) summarising your background, why you would like to join, and what you will contribute to the committee. Please note that you will need to be a fellow of the RSS to take up a position.
The RSS is committed to ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who care about good data and statistics.
