Matt Sperrin has been announced as the programme chair for the RSS 2021 International Conference which will take place in Manchester from 6-9 September 2021.
Matt is a senior lecturer in health data science at the University of Manchester and a past chair of the RSS Young Statisticians Section. His main research interests are in clinical prediction modelling, both in developing new methodology and working collaboratively to develop models for use in healthcare. He is also interested in the challenges of utilising routinely collected data.
Matt commented, 'It’s a pleasure to take on the role of programme chair. We are in unprecedented times, and there are challenges ahead in defining the "new normal" for the RSS conference. I’m looking forward to working with everyone to ensure the 2021 conference is as vibrant and stimulating as ever.'
