Funding call for research into long-term Covid-19 effects

The Economic and Social Research Council, Medical Research Council and National Institute for Health Research is supporting NIHR/UKRI Long-term COVID-19 effects in non-hospitalised individuals, to support research into the causes, mechanisms and management of the longer-term physical and mental health effects of COVID-19 in non-hospitalised individuals.

Up to £20 million is available to fund two or three proposals and a small number of study extensions which take a holistic approach.

Researchers must be hosted by a UK institution that is eligible for UKRI funding. Applications from small and medium enterprises, government arm’s length bodies and NHS organisations are also accepted. Projects can last up to three years.

Expressions of interest submissions are due on 2 December and the closing date is 9 December.
