The annual general meeting (AGM) of the
Reading local group of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) will be held online on Thursday 26 November at 6.30pm after a talk on
Monte Carlo statistical methods for the analysis of the spread of diseases through analysis of DNA sequences. If you would like to attend the AGM, please
book your place on this event.
In accordance with the regulations of Local Groups, the following candidates are nominated by the local group committee as members for the 2021 session:

Shanti Majithia
Vacant roles will be filled at the AGM.
There are vacancies on the local group committee which anyone who is interested can apply by contacting
Amaka Nwagbara by Wednesday 25 November. Please send a statement (200 word maximum) describing your background and why you would like to join the committee. Please note that you must be an RSS fellow, or willing to join the RSS, to serve on the committee.
Unless alternative nominations are received by
Amaka Nwagbara before 25 November, these persons will be declared elected at the annual general meeting.
