I am a Chartered Statistician (CStat) and Accredited Professional Statistician (PStat), offering statistical consultancy for healthcare and research. I help researchers and organisations design robust studies, analyse data and communicate findings clearly. My services include study design, statistical analysis plans, independent methodological review and reproducible analysis in R.
I hold a PhD in Statistics from the University of Hong Kong and am an Associate Professor at the University of Plymouth, where I lead statistical work in the Mental Health Research Group. Previously, I was Associate Professor of Medical Statistics at Southampton Clinical Trials Unit and scientific lead for non-cancer trials. My background also includes epidemiological research, extensive peer-reviewed publications, postgraduate teaching and R package development.
I specialise in clinical trials, epidemiological studies, survey analysis and psychometrics. My experience includes randomised and cluster-randomised trials, longitudinal cohorts, questionnaire validation and lifestyle epidemiology. Particular interests include mental health, physical activity, sleep and measurement methods. I support projects from protocol development through analysis, interpretation and publication.
