This is a day event and will be online. It has been designed to appeal to a wide range of users of international migration statistics and relates to the Migration Statistics User Forum’s aims to provide a forum for discussion of international migration statistics and to enable users to discuss their needs and use of data and for producers to consult on presentation and changes.

Session 2: Big Data and Migration
Stefano Iacus - Using big data to examine migration patterns to address gaps in traditional data sources
Session 3: Local Area Challenges and Data Potential
Ben Corr – London’s population and the pandemic
Lei Ni - Visualising Internal Migration Flows across Local Authorities in England and Wales
This meeting is supported by the RSS’s Official Statistics Section as part of its remit to bring together producers and users of official statistics
