Training

Our aim is to meet the needs of professional statisticians, helping them keep their skills up to date and relevant as well as non-statisticians or users of statistics who want to understand the basics of statistics and data analysis to help them either in their jobs or in their personal lives.

All courses are developed and delivered using the expertise we have as a renowned professional society. As such, we have established a reputation as a trusted training provider with tutors who are experienced in their field of expertise and as trainers.

Online courses

Our online courses have been developed to provide an immersive and exercise-driven learning environment. Each course has a tutor to guide you and has the same learning outcomes as our classroom courses.

In-company courses

Many courses can be tailored to the individual needs of your organisation, for example by using your own publications or datasets as a basis for practical exercises. we have organised in- company courses for a range of clients including government departments, local authorities and commercial companies.

Public courses

We offer three types of courses: Professional courses (P) aimed at statisticians and data scientists, Intermediate courses (I) require some pre knowledge of either basic statistics or a programming language and our Foundation courses (F) require no pre knowledge and help non-statisticians to understand the basics of statistics.

CPD

Lean & 6 sigma

Organisations can be certified against ISO 18404 through our sector scheme RSS 18404, which provides a level of assurance on the skills of certified Six Sigma and Lean professionals.
